China latest quadruped robot, the Black Panther 2.0, has set a new world speed record for robots. During the CMG World Robot Skills Competition in Wuhan, it reached a speed of 10.3 meters per second (m/s), significantly surpassing the previous record of 8.89 m/s held by Boston Dynamics WildCat robot for the past decade. The Black Panther 2.0 is a relatively lightweight and compact machine, weighing only 38 kg and standing 0.63 meters tall. This achievement underscores China substantial progress and innovative potential within the field of robotics.
